Located inside The Kentucky Center for the Performing Arts, the Lexus Lounge is a premiere lounge space offering bar and food service two hours prior to most performances in Whitney Hall and the Bomhard Theater. This space is the destination for small plate dining ordered on site. All items can be ordered at the bar. The bar is open during intermission as well. Looking for a more enhanced dining experience? Select shows at The Kentucky Center offer The Chef's Table. This all-inclusive food and beverage pre-show and intermission experience gives patrons exclusive access into the dining area of the Lexus Lounge. This general admission ticket add-on for select performances includes all you care to enjoy Chef’s Selection food offerings, complementary soft drinks, select beers and wines (2 per guest or 1 mixed alcoholic beverage included with purchase for individuals 21+ years of age), private cash bar, specialty cocktails, mocktails, Bloody Mary Bar (matinees only), exclusive restroom access, and an intermission dessert. Comfort and convenience with delicious food and beverages ready the moment you arrive. And don’t worry, we’ll get you to the show on time!

Meet the Chef

James Coogle, Executive Chef

Chef James is an experienced, gifted, and passionate culinarian. A graduate of Sullivan University, Chef enjoys utilizing the freshest, locally sourced ingredients to create delicious, beautiful dishes. Chef has over a decade of experience in the food and beverage hospitality industry, with a resume that includes cooking for Bistro on Chestnut, Huber’s Orchard and Winery, Noosh Nosh, Jack Fry’s, Omni Hotels and Resorts, and Captains Quarters. Chef’s dishes have been featured at Taste of Derby, Taste of 502, and Bourbon and Beyond. Kentucky Performing Arts and Curved Apron Hospitality are proud to feature the culinary works of Chef James Coogle through this VIP experience. 

What’s On the Menu? 

The Chef’s Table: VIP Experience is a true culinary experience for the foodie at heart. Menu selections are Chef -d’oeuvre or Chef’s Choice. You can expect fresh, delicious offerings that satisfy a variety of palates.  Finalized Chef’s Table: VIP Experience menus are announced three weeks prior to each performance.

What is the cost?

Pricing ranges from $35 per person to $55 per person, depending on the menu selection.
Children under the age of 12 receive a discount on club access and dinner.  
Children 2 years of age and younger receive complementary club access and dinner.  
*Refund/exchange eligibility is subject to KPA’s ticketing policies. 


What time will food service start? 

Pre-Show: Food service begins 90 minutes before the start of the performance, with “Last Call” occurring 15 minutes before the start of the show. Food offerings will be continuously replenished during time of service.

Intermission: If your performance has an intermission, the lounge will briefly re-open for private bar/restroom access. 


How many spots are available?

Lounge capacity will be capped at 100 guests to guarantee a premium experience.  The Chef’s Table: VIP Experience offers general admission seating for our guests. We encourage you to mix, mingle, and make new friends!

This is a ticket add-on option for patrons.
